| 1. The EZ-Cover safety pool cover mechanism can be operated by ONE person
in ONE comfortable standing position:
No need to crouch or bend down to crank the cover roller.
No need to drag the cover fabric across the pool.
No need to bend down to secure 30-50 fasteners to make your cover safe.
Other manual safety pool covers have half the convenience – a roller crank
mechanism or a cordless drill (which needs to be charged) that can only retract the
cover from the pool. To close the cover, you must attach a tether to the front of the
leading edge bar and then tug or manhandle the cover.
|
| 2. The EZ-COVER can be operated by ONE person without the help of others. The
two long ski-pole style handles provide sufficient mechanical advantage to convert fingertip pressure applied at the grips into motor-like torque at the pool cover drum
and cable reel.
With other manual safety pool covers, you will likely need help to manually extend
the cover across the pool, and if the cover is large, you may need help to crank the
cover onto the roller.
|
3. The EZ-COVER is surprisingly quick! With most average size pools, it only takes
approximately 50-70 seconds to OPEN and CLOSE an EZ-COVER pool cover.
Other manual safety pool covers may take considerably longer. The screw-down
fastener type of safety cover may take 30 minutes or more to cover or uncover the pool.
Even track type manual safety covers may take at least several minutes to cover the
pool. Don’t be fooled by the “hand drill” type, which claims to open the cover in several seconds.
|
| 4. The EZ-COVER is very affordable. It may be half the speed of an automatic cover,
but it also costs half as much! If you are on a budget but need to keep your children
safe and your pool cost to a minimum, the EZ-COVER is the solution.
|
| 5. The EZ-COVER system uses proven established technology. Like other quality
Aquamatic Cover Systems’ engineered products, we use only the best technology. The
socket bearings are from a leading U.S. bearing manufacturer that have been used on
millions of exercise machines for the past 30 years.
|
| 6.The EZ-COVER uses below the deck installation for easy operation.
Other manual systems have crank-type wind-up rollers that are difficult if not
impossible to mount below the pool deck. Even if the rollers were mounted below the
deck, you would have to get on your hands and knees to reach down and operate it while trying to avoid skinning your knuckles against the cover recess sidewalls. You might strain your back while trying to crank it out.
|
|
7. The EZ-COVER can be easily converted to our Hydramatic automatic cover, the only all-fluid, direct drive hydraulic
system available that opens and closes the cover by the turn of a key. The Hydramatic has no mechanical linkages, clutches, or shearpins.
It requires no lubrication and is virtually maintenance free. The EZ-COVER is the only system that is installed like an automatic system. When building a new pool or remodeling an old pool, our EZ-COVER construction
specifications are exactly the same as the fully automatic construction detail, so if in the future you decide to change to an automatic system, you can do so easily.
With other manual safety pool covers, the fabric has to be remade to convert to a Hydraulic automatic cover system. Cables, gliders, and pulleys will need to be replaced. |
|
8. The EZ-COVER uses attractive leading edge sliders at the front of the cover. Sliders
have a low profile, keep the leading edge bar close to the deck, and limit toddler access to the pool.
Other manual systems use unattractive wheel carriages at each end of the leading forward edge of the cover that can be a tripping hazard.
|
|
9. The EZ-COVER requires no electrical power sources, no expensive electrical power supply runs, no cordless drills to charge, and no electrical shock hazards near the
swimming pool.
|
|
10.
The EZ-COVER exceeds the ASTM (F1346-91) Industry Safety Pool Cover Standards for strength and closure with ease. To prevent the unwinding of the cover cables, the mechanism can be locked. It also keeps the cover securely closed if walked upon in an emergency. |
